If you’re a team using Viva Goals, you’re probably actively looking for a new platform to manage your OKRs.
Tability has you covered, and we will show you why in this post.
Here’s what we’ll cover:
- 5 things that make Tability the best OKR platform for results-driven teams
- Seamless integration with Microsoft Teams
- Easy data migration from Viva Goals
- Free read-only users
- Advanced security controls and European Cloud
- Bonus: OKR resources and support
5 things that make Tability the best OKR platform
Of course, you can use a spreadsheet to track your OKRs. But that’d bring you just as much benefits as if you were tracking your projects with excel instead of using a project management tool like Jira, ClickUp or Linear.
If you’re serious about putting OKRs at the center then you will need a platform that (1) will treat your goals as the most important thing, and (2) will give you full visibility on progress – without having to invest hours and days in maintaining custom formulas and formatting.
Tability is a new kind of OKR platform that embraces modern practices (aligning vs. cascading, leveraging AI…) to simplify OKR tracking and give orgs the right insights to keep everyone focused and aligned on the things that matter.
Let’s take a look at some of the highlights.
Team-centric OKR dashboards
99% of orgs are organised into teams. In this context, it’s critical for individuals to have quick access to all the OKRs attached to their team.

Out of the box, Tability will give each team a dedicated dashboards where they will be able to see:
- Their OKRs AND the initiatives attached to the OKRs
- Progress charts and confidence trends
- Feedback and comments from stakeholders
- Alignment map to see parent OKRs and sub-teams OKRs
Macro alignment view
The easier you can identify risks, the faster you can adjust your effort and strategy. Tability offers a strategy map that works with zero config required.

It will display all OKRs that are currently in progress, grouped by departments and teams. This makes it extremely easy to see at a glance the green, yellow and red parts of your org and you can quickly find the right people to talk to.
Get a live, complete picture of progress and stop being surprised with bad news at the end of the quarter.
Full KR context + cascading view
In Tability you can click on any key result to open up a detail panel.

This panel allows you to see:
- Progress trends
- The history of check-ins
- Strategic initiatives / tasks attached to that key result
- A minimap of its dependencies
That last point will be really helpful when you’re trying to understand the surrounding context of a specific key result.

You can jump to full screen mode to see both the parent KR all dependencies in the same screen.
Direct reports and people dashboards
So far we’ve taken a team-centric approach to OKRs. But in practice we will often have time where we want to focus on specific teammates. For instance, it could be about checking on your direct reports, or maybe you want to take a look at the current priorities of one of your teammates.
There are 2 simple ways to do this with Tability. First you can go to your Focus dashboard (your homepage) and see a map of your direct reports with an overview of their progress.

Second, you can navigate to any teammates’ profile and have an overview of their active OKRs and initiatives.
Goal-setting AI
One more thing. Tability takes full advantage of AI to increase your productivity.
- It can give advice to set better OKRs
- It can parse spreadsheets to facilitate the import of your data
- It can detect the metrics attached to your OKRs and set targets for you
You can take a look at our doc for a better understanding of how AI is used (and you can also turn it off if you prefer not to use it).
Seamless integration with Microsoft Teams

Now that we’ve talked about Tability’s features, we can focus on other aspects that will make your life easier if you’re using the Microsoft Suite.
A common issue to deal with is tools fatigue. This is what happens when users have to manage yet another set of credentials to use an application that is cumbersome and difficult to learn.
Let’s start with the latter statement. As mentioned in the first section, most of Tability’s dashboards work out of the box. Add your OKRs and everything will be set and managed for you.
Now, for the credentials issue, the great news is that Tability has a Microsoft Teams integration that behaves like a native app. Once you add Tability to Teams, users won’t have to worry about another set of credentials – Tability uses the Teams API to validate the identity of the user and sign them in automatically with their email.
This removes completely the friction experienced when you have to sign up to another application. Just click on the Tability icon and voilà, you’re in.
The Tability app for Teams is also a fully functioning application. It’s using the same features as our web applications and any update to our features will be available instantly in Teams.
Easy data migration from Viva Goals
Tability has a magic import feature that will allow you to move your OKRs from Viva Goals to Tability in a couple of clicks. You can even use their powerpoint export to move your data to Tability.
Just watch the video below to see how it works.
Free read-only users
OKRs are about transparency. Every single member of an org should be able to see the progress on the company goals and their team OKRs.
But at the same time, not every person will need to track and manage OKRs and it would be quite unfair to make you pay full price for someone that is just reading recent updates.
We understand that and have designed a pricing that is here to help you scale.
Tability Premium customers get 2 free read-only licenses for every full user license bought. For instance, if you buy 100 Premium seats, you’ll get an additional 200 read-only seats for free. This will give you a total of 300 seats and bring the aggregated cost down to ~$3.3/user/month.

Advanced security controls and European Cloud
Premium customers can implement advanced access restrictions to their workspace:
- They can restrict access to specific email domains
- They can restrict access to specific IP addresses
You can also use SAML SSO and SCIM to manage the provisioning and access to your workspace from your centralised identity provider (like Azure Directory or Okta).
By default, data is hosted in the US but we also have a European Cloud available if you need your data to be hosted in Europe.
Bonus: OKR resources and support
We love the OKR framework because it’s relatively simple compared to other goal-setting frameworks like Scaling Up or EoS. After all, there are only 2 components to know about: the objectives and the key results.
But, we also know first hand how difficult the transition from an output-centric to an outcome-driven culture can be. This is why we do our best to share helpful articles on our blog and publish best practices and guides online.
Our job is to help.
