10 reasons why you'll love Tability as an OKRs coach

Knowing how to write good OKRs is critical, but without good tracking in place, the OKRs will fade away and focus will be lost.

It's not just us saying that:

The easier it is for a team to have weekly discussions around the OKRs, the better they'll execute.

But today, many teams still keep their OKRs in spreadsheets. It's a great way to learn (we encourage them for the first cycle), but they quickly get in the way as you start to scale your OKRs process:

  • Goals are lost among hundreds of other docs.
  • The check-in process is often cumbersome.
  • There's a lack of workflow and reminders.
  • The spreadsheets are expensive to maintain and require a lot of customisation to get insights.
  • You can hardly have conversations with your team, and capturing notes async is difficult.

There's a lot more to say, but to put it simply: spreadsheets aren't optimised for rapid feedback loops.

Tability, a platform built for focus

At Tability, we truly believe that the future of work will put outcomes at the centre. And as such, outcome-driven teams will need outcome-centric tools to boost execution.

We also thought that teams would need help (your help!) to do the transition, which drove many of our product decisions. In this post, I'll cover 10 things that will make you love Tability as a coach:

  1. Easy to onboard and use
  2. Get free 25 check-ins and all features to get started
  3. Switch between workspaces in 1-click
  4. Customise the terms
  5. Built for alignment
  6. Turn OKRs into reports in 1-click
  7. Get actionable insights out of the box
  8. Outcomes AND outputs
  9. Low costs, which means more budget for coaching
  10. A team welcoming your feedback

#1 Easy to onboard and use

"Do more with less" is one of our core values. Everything in Tability is designed to be easy to adopt and use. You can create your first plan in less than 30 seconds, and the platform will generate many reports and dashboards with zero configuration required.

We spend a lot of effort on refining existing features and seeking feedback from our users on how we can make the platform as intuitive as possible.

They result: check-ins happen rapidly, and OKRs turn into a collaboration activity rather than a reporting chore.

#2 Get a free trial

With Tability you'll get access to all features from day 1 with a free trial. We also give you 20 free check-ins to help you get a feel for the platform and onboard people without needing them to commit financially on day 1.

Then, our prices will stay competitive when you're ready to scale (see point #9).

#3 Switch between workspaces in 1-click

Use the workspace switcher to navigate between your customers

It's pretty common for large organisations to have teams spread across multiple workspaces. And we also know that it can be painful for coaches and consultants to juggle identities as they go from 1 client to the next.

Tability has a simple workspace switcher that allows you to jump from one team to the next in a single click.

#4 Customise the terms used

When you create a new workspace, Tability will ask if you want to use the OKRs terms or our default (Objectives, Outcomes, Initiatives). But you can go further and customise these terms per workspace.

You can rename Initiatives to tasks, big rocks, priorities, and you could even adopt the NCT framework if you wanted.

#5 Built for alignment

It's now widely accepted that you shouldn't cascade OKRs. But, you might still want to align OKRs across levels. Tability will produce a Strategy Map for you that lets you see all the OKRs plans that are currently active.

There's no extra setup required. You just need to create a plan to see it appear on the map. Then, you can link individual KRs to highlight dependencies where it's relevant.

#6 Turn OKRs into reports in 1-click

Tability will present the same information differently depending on the need. Each plan has a "Present" button which will turn the OKRs into a simple, easy-to-ready digest.

Bonus: you can click on any line item to see more details on a specific outcome.

#7 Get actionable insights out of the box

Tability comes with a set of dashboards and filters that will help you set better goals as well as rapidly adjust your strategy. Here are some examples:

  • Show all OKRs that are at risk or off track.
  • Show all Key Results that don't have a target or an owner.
  • See how the overall confidence in a plan changes over time.
  • Keep an eye on check-in activity.
  • ...

You'll be able to save filters as segments that you can easily load back.

#8 Outcomes AND outputs

In Tability you'll be able to list OKRs, but also the initiatives that will move the needle. Tability can also integrate with project management platforms like Jira and Clickup to keep the work in sync across platforms.

#9 Low costs, which means more budget for coaching

We write a lot about OKRs and are always up for a conversation. But, we know that excellent change management and coaching are required to be successful with OKRs.

That's why we decided to keep our pricing competitive. By keeping our prices low, we allow our customers to have more budget to get the help they need.

We're committed to building the best platform for team focus, and we want to make it great for both our customers and the amazing people that help teams adopt outcome-driven practices.

#10 A team welcoming your feedback

Last but not least, we're always keen to work with our customers and partners to find the right way to improve Tability. We know we can't do it alone, and many of our best features come from conversations we've had.
